Do I have to purchase any text books for training?
We will provide the study material on site when you arrive. For the 200hrs please buy a copy of the Bhagavad Gita by Prabhupada to read beforehand. For the 300hrs course please read the Philosophy of Hatha Yoga by Swami Veda Bharati before the course starts. However, if you would like to deepen your studies, here is a link of reading list.
Can I take this Training if I’m pregnant?
It all depends on how you are feeling. Please first check with your physician to make sure you can take the training. We adjust the Asanas and techniques for pregnant students.
How many students are in the course?
There is a maximum of 17 students per YTT. We accept maximum 10 students for the retreats.
What style of Yoga will I be learning?
You will be learning the classical Hatha Yoga. In our teachings we also implement Nada Yoga, Tantra-Hatha Yoga, Yoga Therapy and Vinyasa Yoga.
Do I need to bring my Yoga mat?
During the course, we provide Yoga mats along with props. If you would like to, you may bring your own mat. Alternatively, you can also buy a mat here for around 500 Rupees.
What is included in the Teacher Training fee?
The fee of the Yoga Teacher Training includes the cost of training, books (reading material), certificate, accommodation and three meals per day. Daily tea and filtered water are also available at any time.
After I complete the Yoga Teacher Training can I continue my study with the Yoga School?

Do I have any free days or breaks during the course?
There is one day each week that you will have off to explore the city and surrounding areas. There are also breaks built in the schedule for meals, self-study, and rest. There is a sample of a daily schedule on the each course page, which will give you a good idea of how the day runs.
Is it possible to miss a class?
It is required to attend all of the classes, however if you miss a class for health reasons we can arrange an alternative slot for you to repeat the missed topics. Altogether 90% of the whole training needs to be attended in order to attain the certificate.
Is there a minimum age to attend the courses?
You must be at least 18 years old to take the teacher trainings and workshops. If you are between 16 and 18 years old you may attend, accompanied by a parent or legal guardian. If you want to bring your children on retreats, we can make accommodations for a family setting.
I’m not flexible, can I do Yoga?
Yes, our courses address everybody and every body type. You will gain flexibility and strength throughout the course/retreat and as a student you will also learn how to teach to people with less flexibility.
I’m not so young anymore, can I still do Yoga?
Yes, we want to encourage you to join no matter how old you feel or how many years are written in your passport. Yoga is for everyone and we are specialized in taking personal needs into account. You can start from where you are and reach where you want to go.
I don’t do any exercises, can I cope with Yoga?
Yes, Yoga is ideal for people who lost connection with their body, even excellent for rehabilitation after a long period of immobility. We start working with you exactly where you are and will help you to achieve your goals.
How much Yoga experience do I need to do a Teacher Training?
There is no prior experience needed for the 100hrs & 200hrs YTT. They are designed for all levels, beginners are welcome.
Will I be qualified to teach after completing the 200hrs YTT?
Yes, after completing your 200 YTTC you will be able to teach Yoga classes. After the course, you will receive a Yoga Alliance certificate enabling you to teach internationally.
Am I required to stay at the Yoga training center during the program?
Yes, we have morning and evening classes and also eat together. If you want to stay in another facility please let us know in advance and we will decide if that is possible.
Do I need to be healthy in order to attend the course? What if I cannot sustain much physical activity?
Being physically fit is not required, anyone interested in Yoga can join the course. However, some physical exercise will be required to have a better understanding of what’s being taught. At Yogasamskriti our priority is to teach the students how to become self-sufficient in diagnosing and resolving issues and assist others to do the same. In order to avoid any complications, please check with your physician if you have special conditions and let us know in advance. We take all sorts of health issues into account.
What if I am shy to teach a class?
It is fine, you’re not alone! Our teachers will work with the students guiding them through the process step by step, allowing them to conquer their fears. We don’t start you off teaching an entire class. You begin with 2 minutes sessions and only in the end you will teach a whole hour.
Will there be a final exam?
Yes, there will be a final written exam at the end of the course about the topics we taught throughout the training. And a final practical exam, where the students will teach a class designed on their own.
I have never done Yoga in my entire life, can I still join?
Yes, anyone can join the 100hrs or the 200hrs YTT or the retreats.
Are your training certified by the Yoga Alliance?
Yes, we provide Yoga Alliance certificates for the 200hrs, 300hrs and 500hrs of trainings.
I can not travel so far, can I attend your training’s elsewhere?

Do you organize a transfer from the airport/train station?
Yes, we can arrange pick up services from the nearest airport. For the Rishikesh location we also provide a pick up from the Delhi airport. The costs are as follows:
Pokhara – Pokhara Airpot $10
Verkala- Trivandrum Airport $30
Rishikesh – Dheradun Airpot $15
