What our students say about us.

I felt myself very relaxed in all the classes and could pay attention to my inner world with comfort. I knew that my teachers could take care for me at this place.

When I teach in my classes now, I always find these same feelings deeper and deeper. You are a great teacher! And I love that you are demanding of us in the right way and you always inspire people to be better human beings. I could feel myself always improving and that was such a great feeling to have.

I believe that when one decides to go on a teacher training or a yoga retreat, they are searching for something in that moment in time. I wasn’t sure what I was searching for, so I went in with no expectations. This training was more than I could have ever imagined and I am taking with me so much valuable knowledge and lessons for life.

I was taught by four wonderfully special teachers: Rahul, Elli, Sandeep and Avinash. Each teacher so authentic in their way of teaching and so dedicated to sharing the knowledge. You can really feel their love when they talk, when they move and when you look at them. This month, was one of the best months of my life and I am eternally grateful to have shared it with people whose passion and dedication shines through.

Sometimes authenticity is an issue with yoga trainings and retreats, because there are so many of them nowadays. But I can truly say without hesitation that this training was authentic and true in every aspect. Any person will be lucky to be provided with teachings of this quality, but also to spend time in the warmth of these people.

My advice for students going on a course or retreat with Yogasamskriti is to allow yourself to be open. Open your heart and your mind and create space for new information to come in and for the love and nurturing of new wonderful people to flow. We are all human, we are all the same and we are all capable of love and understanding.

These teachers will be there for you no matter what and will never judge.

Being vulnerable is beautiful and its actually one of our greatest strengths.

Just enjoy. Namaste

Let your light shine so bright that it illuminates the path for others.

Rahul is a true teacher of teachers. And amazing example of someone who genuinely lives in yoga. As one of the most kind, humble, and wise teachers that I’ve come across, and it’s true honor to receive his guidance. Rahul teaches from this place of pure love, free of ego, and you can feel that love in every class and in every conversation with him. His devotion to the practice is inspiring. He once told me “students don’t come to a yoga class to learn how to forward fold, they come to receive love.” He genuinely shares his love with his students and inspires us all to go deeper into our own practice to discover that pure love within so we can go out and share it with the world.

It is hard to put into words what this month represented to me. It was such a transformative process. The group of instructors were supportive all along the way. Their knowledge was shared in a practical and simple way making it easier to start not only applying it on our lives, but also quickly implement on our own classes and consultations.

Being it for self development or for pursuing a career in teaching, I wholeheartedly recommend this programme. Looking forward to attending a retreat to go deeper into my practice with this amazing group of people.

Rahul’s way of teaching in proper English and his correcting of postures helped a lot and really made me experience the benefits of yoga.

I also liked the extra focus on the breath during asanas, as it made me more conscious. I am taking all this valuable knowledge with me to the yoga lessons i do back in the Netherlands.

I can literally still hear his voice during pauses.

In 2015 I had the opportunity to receive teachings from Rahul and I was thoroughly impressed by his knowledge and ability to tune into and guide people. Rahul has great wisdom and depth. I know him as a very sincere and pure person.

I can wholeheartedly recommend his teachings.

I was already able to enjoy the lessons and I am impressed by the deep and extensive knowledge of Rahul. Whether philosophy, anatomy, mediation or Ayurveda medicine. Every hour was very educational and filled with very good information. Based on practical examples, we have learned a lot, discussed and laughed. I thank you for knowing what I got with me on my way.

One of the most beautiful lessons that our teacher shared with us from the first day was this one: ” I never call myself a teacher. Only a learner. Everyday there is something that we can learn. The day you will call yourself teacher is the same day you will go away from the Yoga path….” This advice follows me since. So be humble in every aspect of life to be able to understand more. Thank you also for making clear to us that all the knowledge is inside of each one of us.We just need to observe!

I’ve been reflecting on what has changed for me. In fact, the things I do now did raise some eyebrows because now I’m “weird” to people around me. So, as I reflected, most changes were motivated by what I’ve learnt from a teacher whose passion for life showered magic on those around him (of course, together with the energy and light from other teachers). His patience and dedication to the classes he taught has raised so much awareness of myself I felt like I was an explorer in the Jurassic world of my life. I went to yoga ttc with injuries that stuck to me like leeches but decided to let go of me when I was there. Here, I thank Rahul for sharing many thoughts, techniques and shedding light on awareness of our body, which naturally came with awareness of our mind. Because of you, today I’m proud to say I’ve achieved some mini milestones in my life:

  • Not eating after sunset (to give my body peace)
  • Skipping a meal once a week (to detox)
  • Waking up slightly earlier to cook fresh (to preserve the prana in our food)
  • Engaging in fruitful reading before bed (to nourish my mind)
  • Practicing yoga without attachment (to give myself all the time in the world to understand “me”)
  • Smiling in face of problems (to adopt a positive mind-set)
  • Letting go of what’s not necessarily enriching my life (to distinguish between a “want” and a “need”)
  • Continuing the pursuit for knowledge (to share with people around me)
What makes a teacher, a teacher? Someone who is dedicated, passionate, and STILL sees oneself as a learner in life. Thank you, Rahul!

Being Rahul’s student has been an awesome experience I’m extremely grateful for.His knowledge, combined with his humanity, creates an unbelievably high and researched atmosphere in the class.
His teaching was such an important tool for my growth, I’ll never be thankful enough for the knowledge that he shared, he really teaches with the heart!! One of the really few people I feel I can actually trust. Feels like family.
I’ve got the chance to go back and study with him very soon, a profound blessing, to learn the theories of yoga from a great Teacher, but first of all a great Human being.
Forever grateful! Love!
